Porsche Cajun Goes Into Production

Porsche has announced they will be taking over development of sports cars and large premium sedans. Now there's the news that partner Audi will now be responsible for developing large SUVs for the German auto maker.

That will include the next-generation Porsche Cayenne and the upcoming Porsche Cajun - a mid-sized SUV to be based on the Audi Q5. The current Porsche Cayenne was developed entirely by Porsche.

Audi will also be responsible for the development of the VW Touareg as well as the Audi Q7.

The Oldest Porsche in America

To celebrate their 60th anniversary of selling vehicles in the US, Porsche embarked on a journey not unlike that of The hobbit or Harry Potter - to find the oldest model Porsche sold in America.

After several months, the company awarded this honor to Dr. Robert Wilson and his 1952 356 Cabriolet. Imported in November of 1952 by legendary automotive businessman Max Hoffman, this 356 was discovered in a savage yard. Wilson, knowing a good find when saw it, had the car restored to its current condition.
